Beauty and Ugliness

The horror and the horrific miseries we are living in our century, when taken to the canvas by the painter, become beauty. When seen in the painting, horrors can be beautiful; when seen in everyday life, they are of hideous ugliness. We must not forget that they exist and that they are real, they are not a mask of a Shakespearean tragedy.

Red is blood, black is only shadow; black does not exist, it is like the moment when the jumper is in the air.
